Frank Mitchell, Editor
Frank Mitchell has been editing, designing and marketing books since 1996 when he first formed New World Publishing. During that time he has been the general editor and/or managing editor for some forty books in print, as well as over a dozen audio productions.
A graduate of Saint Mary’s University in Science and Education, he also holds graduate degrees in Education from the University of Toronto … and worked in public education for 32 years as a teacher, school administrator, senior school board administrator, retiring as the Assistant Director of Education (Curriculum & Professional Development) in Halifax City. During his career in education he co-wrote and edited four books on safety, wrote several monographs on educational reform and chaired/co-chaired several national student programs in science, Science Fairs (regional and national) and social studies.
An active player of several sports during his life, he wrote a book on baseball, The Boys of ’62 in 2008 and added three chapters as a second edition a year later. [See description and rationale in these web pages.] He recently edited a 320 page publication celebrating 60 years of Varsity Sport at his alma mater. As general editor, he organized and edited the contributions of over 60 people, including 48 “authors”; this book entitled Huskies, In Pursuit of Excellence . It was launched in September, 2012.
